What is IBE?
IBE or Invisible Bead Extensions was specifically created to solve 3 major problems encountered with the different types of hand tied methods available.
Prevents Damage
to the clients hair and scalp from tension, over direction and haphazard installs
Eliminates Discomfort
due to the contact of beads on the scalp on the common “crank & clamp”beading approach.
Styling Versaltility
which means no more exposed beads, bonds or tapes when wearing your hair up.
Are you wanting extensions

How to care for your extensions
CLEANSING
I suggest washing 1-2 times a week
Don’t wash your hair everyday, as it will shorten the life of your extension hair.
Before washing, you have to brush ALL of the tangles out. If you have multiple rows, section the rows half up and half down so that you're able to cleanse between the rows. Gently wash as normal and be sure to avoid rubbing the ends of your hair together.
When conditioning, only apply conditioner from the ears down, and around the face framing pieces, Avoid conditioner at the scalp and where extension are tied in, to avoid build up.
Use a wet brush or a wide tooth comb to gently brush the conditioner through before rinsing it out. Please avoid tangles at all costs!
If you cannot go without washing daily, do the “half wash” method to preserve the extension hair. start by sectioning off the top section of your hair, then braid your extension out of the way. Once you have your hair sectioned and ready to wash, put your head directly under the faucet/ sink/ shower and shampoo & condition the top section of your natural hair. This will allow you to wash daily if you feel the need.
DRYING
Gently squeeze the water out of your hair. Do not rub! You should moisturize your hair daily, with a leave in conditioner/ serum/oil depending on your personal hair texture.
Make sure before drying you protect your hair with a heat protectant. Follow with brushing through with a wet brush/wide tooth comb. Before drying make sure each weft is completely brushed out from the top of the weft to the bottom. I do not recommend letting your extensions air dry. But if you wish make sure the top of the row (at the root) is completely dry to prevent matting and molding!
YOUR HAIR MUST BE COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE GOING TO BED.
PRODUCTS
Shampoo, conditioner and other products need to be extension friendly—meaning they should be PARABEN & SULFATE FREE. You should also be using a CLEAR serum/oil applied from your ears down, daily, for moisture.
Heat protectant is needed before heat styling.
*If you have products at home that you would like to use, or are interested in trying something new, please check with your stylist if it is extension friendly.

SLEEPING
I recommend to braid your hair or put it in a low bun to sleep.
It’s also best to sleep on a silk pillowcase (if you don’t have one, I recommend one ASAP!) Cotton pillowcases can cause frizz and split ends over time. Silk pillowcases are much more gentle on your hair.
DO NOT sleep with your hair wet, it can cause matting and mold.
STYLING
As far as tools go, you can straighten and curl your hair like normal! When using hot tools, don’t forget to apply a heat protectant before you use heat. Keep in mind, the less heat you apply to your extensions the longer they will last. You will find that you won’t need to style your hair as often, because the extensions just hold the curls SO well! Which will save you so much time day to day!
Brush your hair multiple times a day (to avoid excessive tangles/matting). It’s best to use a wet brush or wide tooth comb.
It is very important to brush your hair all the way to the seam of your extensions to prevent matting at the root to “top” of the wefts. It is also very important that you are careful when brushing near the top of the wefts or wear the extension are sewn in. If you brush over the seam too vigorously, you may end up destroying the wefts which will then need to be replaced at the maintenance appointment.
You can totally put your hair up in a high pony or bun and you don’t have to worry about seeing any beads for tapes.
SWIMMING
The biggest question I get— Can I swim with my extension?
The answer is YES- BUT there are minerals/chemicals found in water that can react poorly with your extensions and can cause discoloration or dry them out.
Salt water can be extremely drying and can cause matting. I do not recommend swimming in the ocean with your extensions.
If you plan to.. “swim at your own risk”:
--Wet your hair before getting into the water. Apply a leave in conditioner or mask.
-- Comb through, then braid your hair or put your hair in a tight bun or pony.
--Brush & wash your hair immediately after swimming.
*Beware of sunscreens* Most brands contain ingredients that will turn your extensions a brassy orange or peach color. I recommend Goldie Locks SPF. Or look for any “mineral” sunscreen and stay away from sunscreens that have “Avobenzone” as an ingredient.

Frequently Asked Questions
Tell me about your hair!
We use luxury hair extensions that were created specifically for the IBE method, including Kitsune, The Reserve, & ONE by IBE. Why? For the quality and longevity. We love that they are ethically sourced, double drawn, silicone free, cuticle intact, 100% human hair, and FEEL AMAZING!
How long does my hair last?
As long as the hair is being taken care of and you are using the recommended products, your extensions will typically need to be replaced every 8-12 months. Blonde hair is more delicate and is typically 6-9 months. We cannot guarantee a time frame, however this is a good estimate for most people.
How often do I need maintenance?
Typically every 8-10 weeks. After the initial install, hair will be removed and reinstalled at 8 weeks. At that appointment we will evaluate your grow out and create a maintenance schedule with you.
